In this final event in our 3-part series we will discuss one of the most importance elements in the day to day operations of a financial institution, cybersecurity. Not only are we seeing increased fraudulent activity but as quantum computers continue to develop and rapid pace our existing encryption is at risk. We will discuss how and why our current cybersecurity is so vulnerable, what global institutions and regulators are doing to mitigate these risks and why it’s never to early to enhance security.

Series Overview

Join Mastercard and Navon World for an exclusive three-part executive series exploring how AI, Quantum Computing, and Cybersecurity are poised to redefine the future of financial services across East Africa. Designed for senior technology and innovation leaders, each session will deliver practical insights on accelerating digital transformation, enhancing security, and building the next generation of resilient, data-driven financial infrastructure. 


Format:

Each panel will be moderated by Romi Sumaria, CEO of Navon World with the option to add Edwin as a second moderator from the Mastercard.

  • Opening Remarks (5 minutes): Host moderator will start with welcome and introduction to the panel, introducing the topic and the format for the day

  • Guest Speaker Introductions (10 minutes): Moderator will ask each guest to provide a short introduction, highlighting their role, previous relevant experiences and quick introduction into their work in deep tech within finance

  • Moderated Questions (30 minutes): Moderator will ask each guest specific questions related to the topic 

  • Q&A (15 minutes): Moderator will accept questions from the audience

  • Open Floor (15 minutes): Official questions are finished and moderator will keep call open for 15 more minutes just in case there are spill over questions


Medium:

  • Sessions will be conducted with Zoom webinar, to guarantee best experience
